In 2006 I met the man of my dreams.
In 2008 we travelled to his home country, the Czech Republic, and there he proposed to me in beautiful Cesky Krumlov.
In 2009 we married in Northern B.C. A few weeks later we moved from Northern B.C. to Vancouver Island; my husband started a job working as a teacher, and I continued schooling and began working with the school district.
In 2010 we got pregnant with our first beautiful baby. She is the amost amazing thing I have ever done.
January 2011, our daughter Jay* was born. Later that year we got pregnant with our second baby, due July 2012.
I am an aspiring writer. I dabble in children's and youth fiction and have been writing a novel for what has seemed like-forever. Of course I have been writing in my blog to fill my need of words, and have been published in Island Parent Magazine.
I have many interests: I love interior decorating, and I find the process of staging, organizing and styling a home exhilirating. Because of this I have been working on starting up an at home business so that I can work on a project basis around family time. I love working with children ages 0-18. I have a background in AECE and I had started my degree in Physical Education/Education Degree (TBC hopefully). I have worked in everything from infant toddler room, to preschool, to afterschool care, to working within the school. I have a passion for teaching life skills to those around me---one day, working with pregnant teens would be a fulfilled dream for me.
As you can tell from my blog, I love to pass on what I have learned---but I also aim to be a vicarious learner. What I can pass along-I hope-is helpful. What I can learn from others, priceless.
I strongly believe that mistakes made, are lessons learned...
My life is nothing if not exciting!
